Depth
Psychotherapy is about living with soul. How do we live our lives with
soul in mind? As a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute, I bring
a Jungian orientation to my understanding and interpretation of clients’ life
stories. What does this mean? I work with the belief that in addition
to concrete, conscious lives there is the existence of an unconscious.
Patterns, habits, addictions, ways that we sabotage ourselves, these
have their origins in the unconscious mind.
To live with soul means that the knowing from
dreams is valued as much as reason. I encourage clients to journal
and share their dreams. Dreams provide access to the rich, and meaningful
images served up nightly from the unconscious when the ego and conscious
mind sleep. One complements and illuminates the other.
Depth Psychotherapy is about relationship.
When we interact with another being or the natural world a connection
occurs which can be valuable and healing.
Lastly, living with soul honors that we all
have symptoms. It is in the uncovering of their meaning that our essence
blossoms. |
