Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
    -for couples and families-

What would make your relationships with loved ones more fulfilling? Fewer of the same old arguments? More patience and understanding? Greater closeness and connection? Being able to share your real feelings without fear that you will be ignored or shamed?

Now there is hope that you can have the relationships you’ve always longed for. Emotionally Focused Therapy has a proven track record, and it works fast.  Research has shown that more than 70% of couples involved in EFT experienced “recovery from marital distress in 10 to 12 sessions.” While 90% cited a “significant improvement.”

According to Dr. Sue Johnson, the co-creator of EFT, “emotionally fulfilling relationships are integral components of mental and physical health.” Given the mobility of our culture and the growing tendencies of people to move away from family and community we are depending more and more on our partners as the main source for nurturing and loving support.

At the core of Emotionally Focused Therapy is the understanding that the ways we choose to act out our emotions impact the people around us. “Emotionally focused interventions have the power to establish and re-create supportive bonds.” The main goal of EFT is to assist couples and families become their very best through relationship.

I am very excited to be offering EFT as a counseling intervention for couples and families in distress.
